In the back of their minds, all swimming pool owners know the risk of silence, the body of water lurking in the backyard. Even more to families with children, a swimming pool can be a silent murderer. Consider this list of the ten most common, and the shortcomings of the most dangerous swimming pool:

10) Electrical
Appropriate electrical installation for a swimming pool and all its components is essential as water, electricity and people are a mixture dangerous. Pools, and all metal components within a meter of the water line should be bonded with a strong grounding wire loop. In addition all electrical devices that are in close contact with water, such as pumps and lights must be properly connected to a switch GFIC or ground fault.

9) Slippery Decks
As the surfaces of the indoor pool of the age and time that the algae will develop and become very slippery, especially in wet conditions. To reduce the risk of falls or slips into a pool terrace, wash deck pressure annually. Moreover, silica sand can be added to the sealant concrete to provide a more textured and slip resistant surface.

Stairs and ladders

The levels of chemicals in water can also affect prone skin reactions.

6) Chemical Storage
Your chemicals for swimming pools are a potent mix of strong acids, alkalis and poisons. Even worse is that many of these chemicals react specifically with the others, however, are often stored in the same location with very little effort to safekeeping. The chemicals must be investigated and stored in a controlled, dry and locked at all times.

5) Winter Pool Covers
Winterization often only covers large canvases stretched over the pool with sand or water bags pinning them down on the edges. These are not strong enough to support the weight of a pet or small child medium, without pulling to the pool. I have a GE Smartwater filter under sink about two years old. The last time I replaced the filter cartridges, water flow was reduced to a trickle. Thinking of the new cartridge may be defective, I tried to put the old cartridges back, but still barely functioning. The water flows all the pressure for a split second, then is reduced to a trickle. Actually get a little more water, keeping the supply line filter valve somewhere in between, yet always to fill a glass. No leaks and the filter cartridges are in correctly. Is there any way to fix this, or is the filter unit itself exhausted?

IP44 means that it is classified as a splash-proof. This type of installation is usually done in 3 or 4 metal hooks and usually carefully removed by prying with a flathead screwdriver or a hand. Be sure to keep your hand under the cup and when you do so it will not crash the ground. You may need a little more strength than you think … you just have to be very careful not to damage the appliance. Put it back should be a similar process. Sure the clips on one side are the seats and then push up. It should fit firmly in place.

With gas prices headed skyward, people are making much more from energy use in general. Electricity costs have continued to increase well, and energy-efficient products are the best way to offset these cost increases. If you want to reduce their energy consumption, it is always best to start by analyzing what uses more energy in your home. In the southeast and southwest, most people know that air conditioning is the number one. If you have a pool, usually ranks second. The sad truth is that your pool pump is an energy hog – but it need not be.

Reducing the cost of pool ownership is an area of the pool industry has been working for some time. Some progress has been made great, but most people are not aware of technologies energy savings that are available. Want to enjoy your pool at minimum cost, so how can you save money? There are two main methods have emerged to reduce the energy consumption of swimming pools. One is to have a two-speed pump. Running at low speed option reduces the resistance to water flow, allowing more efficient operation of the pump. The second method uses an intelligent controller throughout the year, specifically designed for swimming pools. A seasonal cycle the filter is run in winter and more in the summer, gradually appear during the spring and fall down.

A two-speed pump is quite simple to understand. A two-speed pump is just a conventional bomb with an added mode of low speed. The low speed mode moves through the water filter more slow, but much more efficiently. This gives you more gallons filtered per dollar. A good analogy is: "slow and steady wins the race." It also has a high speed mode that is used to implement the surface cleaning equipment (mop pool or pop-ups). This is an efficient method to keep your pool looking great, but is a major investment, requiring that you replace both the pump and controller. In general, it will cost more than $ 1,000 to upgrade to a two speed pump.

An intelligent controller throughout the year allows you to keep your existing pump, but is designed to work only to the extent necessary. Most pool owners know that it is not necessary to run the filter either in the winter as you do during the summer months. When the water is cold, bacteria and algae do not do much, and you can get away with the performance of your pump less.

Some pool owners adjust their runtime filter twice a year, but many do not fit at all. A company in Chandler, AZ produces a product called the pool itself TightWatt ® timer that is used your pump all year round. You simply set a "summer" and "winter" run-time for your pump, and calculate the rest of the year on the basis of these values. This is a good option for people who want to save money, but can not afford to invest in a two-speed pump. It is an affordable replacement an aging timer mechanics, about $ 149, and an easy way to save some money.
