Design Fish Liner

pond design question?
I'm thinking about adding a pond in my garden. I like the way this http://www.maccourt.com/lowes/ponds/lp7918.html a case where I would have something of a Y-shaped I want to keep some goldfish in it, but I do not think that 100 gallons is great for fish and plants. I on the use of only a flexible liner, but I worry that get a hole and fish with no water. Is it possible to use a premade one in the bottom and simply sinks almost twice as deep, then using a liner inside so that if it breaks, the prefabricated pond fish and still keep some water? Has anyone tried this? Or am I just too worried? I would like some 200-300 gallons for the total pool, and a small waterfall at one end. Any suggestions on filters, UV, bombs for brands to buy or stay away from?
Worry a little too much, I think. Hard covering are not so good – the extreme temperatures and UV rays tend to break the plastic over time, and are subject to shock or to be affected, rising from the ground with cycles freeze-thaw, etc. What works best, in my opinion (based on 3,000 gallon pond we've had for the past eight years and four ponds that have built in recent years) is EPDM vinyl heavy line – at least 30-40 mil thick, or as thick as you can find. It is very difficult to puncture, it will make any shape pond you want, and will not crack or "out" of the land once it was in. First, however, put a layer coating of sand, 3-4 cm thick, and then something like commercial subfloor down to avoid the roots, etc, from cultivation to the layer of EPDM rubber. I prefer carpet pad – much less money than the subfloor and it does essentially the same. Let your EPDM sit in the sun to warm up before attempting to work with it – will be much easier to maneuver and get all the wrinkles as you say on the subfloor and start filling the pond with water. This is what we did with the four ponds that we built and that does not have holes or tears. Besides, I definitely recommend going with a vegetable (or swamp) on the UV filter and filter accounts. Mechancial start with the filters, and refused to put in a vegetable filter until last year. Without doubt, the technology has to be better than some silly ol 'plants, right? FALSE! Every year, we have struggled to maintain quality of the water (water protection, and the fish will take care of themselves – make sure you understand the waste of fish ammonia nitrate nitrite cycle plants!). Finally, put in the filter of vegetables last year, and our water was glass! It is soooo much easier to clean! This year, we are completely finished with our mechanical filters and are based solely on the filter of vegetables, fish and have never been happier than most. instructions pond building in which I have run across recommend building "steps" sides. We live in an area that borders a national forest, and we have problems with predators (raccoons, etc) getting into our pond, so if this could be something that will play in your area, recommend measures to end and the creation slope, at least 3 'deep. Plants can be grown in pots in the stands to pay remains a natural. One last thing – no one says, "Gee, I wish I had done my smaller pond! "We started with a 500 gallon tank, and within a year, has wished he had gone bigger. Thus, we extended our original small pond to the 3000 liters we have now. We put the same size (500 gal.) In my grandfather four years ago, and now wants to expand, too! Moral of the story: to err on the side of bigger – it will save work later! Larger ponds, once established, are no more difficult to care for than smaller ponds, and are also less susceptible to any shocks caused by the filter or pump problems, etc. I think the waterlogging is a wonderful hobby – I wish you the best of luck, and I have included some useful links, below.
