Replacement Cartridge Filter
I have an old house with a pool. I recently purchased a sand filter without realizing that there was a. ..?
pre existing filter cartridge that goes under the skimmer basket …. Did I make a terrible mistake and expensive? or should I go with the sand filter and remove the cartridge? They said the discovery of the cartridge that this system has not been used since the 70s so I do not know how much replacement cartridges these days
I've never seen the installation, but if can take the sand filter back for a refund and buy a cartridge filter or similar Hayworth is installed after the pool pump in the return line. Indeed easy to clean and do not have to buy anything extra. Add an automatic chlorinator to the return line as well.
