In the back of their minds, all swimming pool owners know the risk of silence, the body of water lurking in the backyard. Even more to families with children, a swimming pool can be a silent murderer. Consider this list of the ten most common, and the shortcomings of the most dangerous swimming pool:

10) Electrical
Appropriate electrical installation for a swimming pool and all its components is essential as water, electricity and people are a mixture dangerous. Pools, and all metal components within a meter of the water line should be bonded with a strong grounding wire loop. In addition all electrical devices that are in close contact with water, such as pumps and lights must be properly connected to a switch GFIC or ground fault.
